Privacy policy

Short and in plain words: what you give us, what we use it for, who we have to share it with in order to work, and how you tell us to delete it.
01Who is responsible for your data
SAGARA Export Solution, a company incorporated in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, People's Republic of China, operating from Dongguan, Guangdong province.
For anything about your data, write to .
02What we collect
Only what you give us. We do not buy lists and we do not obtain your data from third parties.
- From the contact form: name, company, email, phone or WhatsApp, destination country, type of need, product or category, estimated quantity and whatever you write in the message.
- From the conversation that follows: what you tell us by email, WhatsApp or WeChat about your project, and the documents you send us to quote or to ship (specifications, drawings, invoices, delivery details).
One thing worth knowing about the form. As it stands, the form on this site sends nothing to a server of ours: it opens your own mail program with the message already written, and you are the one who presses send. In other words, we receive nothing until you decide to send it. If we later connect a form service that receives the data directly, we will update this page before doing so.
We do not collect sensitive data — health, ethnic origin, beliefs, biometrics — and we ask you not to send it. We also do not need your ID or passport number in order to quote.
03What we use it for
- Answering your enquiry and preparing a quotation.
- Carrying out the work: sourcing the factory, inspecting, coordinating shipment and delivery.
- Invoicing and meeting the accounting and legal obligations that apply to us.
- Keeping a history of your orders so we can handle claims and repeat purchases.
We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it to anyone. If we ever want to send you commercial updates, we will ask separately, and you can say no without it affecting your order.
04Who we share it with
Importing requires sharing some information. We share the minimum necessary, and only with those involved in your engagement:
- Factories and suppliers in China, to quote and produce: usually specifications and quantities, not your personal details.
- Carriers, freight forwarders and customs brokers, who need the name, delivery address, phone number and consignee details to issue the bill of lading and clear the goods.
- Banks and payment platforms, when a transfer has to be sent or received.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
Our web hosting provider and our email provider process data on our behalf under their own security terms.
05Where it is handled
SAGARA operates from China and Hong Kong, so your data is handled outside your country. Depending on where your goods are going, it will also travel to the delivery country, because that is where the goods clear customs. By requesting a quotation you accept that international transfer, which is unavoidable if we are to provide the service.
06How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become orders: up to two years, in case you come back to the project. Then they are deleted.
- Clients with orders: for the duration of the relationship and afterwards for as long as the applicable accounting and tax rules require.
07Cookies and storage
This site sets no cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, the Facebook pixel, or any tracking or advertising tool.
The only thing your browser stores is the language you chose, in your own device's local storage, so we do not have to ask again. That value never leaves your browser, never reaches us, and you can clear it by clearing the site's data. That is why there is no cookie banner: there is nothing to ask your permission for.
If we ever add analytics or advertising, we will say so on this page and ask for your consent before switching it on.
08Your rights
At any time you can ask us to:
- Tell you what data of yours we hold and where it came from.
- Correct anything wrong or incomplete.
- Delete what is no longer needed, except what we must keep by law.
- Withdraw the consent you gave, without retroactive effect.
- Receive a copy of what you sent us.
Write to from the same address you contacted us with, or tell us how we can verify it is you. We answer within 30 days at the latest, free of charge.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may take it to the data protection authority that applies to you; in Hong Kong, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data.
09Security
Access to your data is limited to the team members working on your engagement, the site and our messaging channels use encrypted connections, and we store no card details or banking credentials of yours. No system is infallible: if an incident affected your data, we would tell you.
10Minors
This site is aimed at businesses and professionals. It is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
11Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Where a change affects how we use data you have already given us, we will email active clients.
